Angela Anukam
A media, entertainment and business lawyer with over a decade of experience building the legal and commercial infrastructure for some of Africa's leading media platforms — including Canal+ Group and Group8 Africa (Soundcity TV).
A dealmaker at the strategic layer.
Angela combines legal rigour with deal-making experience, having served as Legal Manager and the primary interface between Paris and West African markets at Canal+, and as Head of Legal at Group8 Africa — where she led high-profile transactions including Wizkid's "Made in Lagos" concert and pan-African broadcast expansion.
Alongside her in-house roles, Angela has provided independent legal and strategic advisory through Carpe Diem Law Solutions, supporting production companies, content aggregators and creative businesses on transactions including Netflix distribution deals and major live events.
She is currently completing her MBA at HEC Paris on a Laidlaw Foundation Scholarship, deepening her focus on the Africa–Europe commercial opportunity at the intersection of media, technology and emerging markets. She is a member of the Nigerian Bar Association.
